There's a buzz in the gaming community hinting at the possibility of a new Burnout game in the making, spurred by a teaser from Stellar Entertainment, the developers behind Burnout Paradise Remastered. Currently engaged in crafting a fresh arcade racing project, this endeavor could mark the first original Burnout game in over a decade.

The Burnout franchise has earned a special place in gamers' hearts for its exhilarating arcade-style racing, featuring high-speed vehicular combat that rewards players for aggressive maneuvers, including slamming into rival cars and executing various "takedowns" while vying for the top spot. The introduction of the takedown component in Burnout 3: Takedown (2004) remains a milestone moment in the series, with subsequent entries like Burnout Revenge and Burnout Paradise continuing to refine and innovate the gameplay. The latter received a remaster from Stellar Entertainment. While Criterion Games supports EA in developing projects like Battlefield and Need for Speed, it seems that the Burnout franchise reins may have been handed over to Stellar Entertainment.

The recent tweet and official website update from Stellar Entertainment provide tantalizing clues. The studio's tweet, sharing "insider intel" about a new game where players might experience rear-end collisions, playfully alludes to the absence of issued takedowns by bosses. These references evoke the iconic Burnout elements of high-speed racing, collisions, and takedowns, sparking excitement among Burnout enthusiasts on Twitter. Notably, the tweet also discloses that Stellar Entertainment is actively recruiting for the new game, a AAA arcade racing experience, as reiterated on its official website. The prospect of a new Burnout entry has ignited anticipation within the gaming community, awaiting further developments from the studio.
